Wizz Air, a Hungarian airline, has introduced a scheme that is drawing mixed reactions.
Under the scheme, passengers will have to pay Є499 (£426) a year and will be able to travel on as many flights as they want throughout the year.
Many people termed the scheme as ‘excellent’ but on the other hand, there are many who have questioned the scheme criticizing the airline’s service and flight schedule delays.
Wizz Air says its new member night, which will be implemented in September, will help ‘save money’ for people who travel a lot.
Wizz Air says that following the announcement, it was well received and all its memberships were sold out in most markets within 24 hours.
However, many users say that this offer is not attractive.
Those taking up this membership can book flights only three days before their departure and will also have to pay a fee of around 10 euros per flight.
Along with this, passengers will not be allowed to keep their ‘trolley bags’ in the compartment inside the plane and most importantly this scheme is limited to only 10 thousand customers. Also, the scheme depends on whether there are any seats left or not.
Up to March this year, six million and two million passengers traveled on Wizz Air, which flies to 53 countries.
This scheme of ‘Wiz Air’ is similar to the offers of ‘Frontier Airlines’ in the US and ‘AirAsia’ in Malaysia.
