Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won gold in the men’s javelin throw final at Paris 2024, winning his country’s first Olympic medal in 32 years.
India’s Neeraj Chopra was the favorite to defend his title after his win at Tokyo 2020.
Nadeem is no stranger to making Olympic history, at Tokyo 2020 he was the first Pakistani to qualify for the Olympic athletics final, eventually finishing fifth. At Paris 2024, he has added another page by competing with the support of the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship.
