The federal government has approved a substantial budget of Rs 44 crore for President Asif Ali Zardari’s motorcade, amid the sinking economy, which is a significant increase from Rs 9 crore allocated for President Arif Alvi’s transportation.
In addition, Pakistan’s financially strapped federal government has sanctioned more than Rs 60 million to maintain the gardens of the Presidential Palace, where President Zardari currently resides.
Official documents revealed that the garden maintenance budget has been increased from Rs 30 million to Rs 63.33 million in the financial year 2024-25. About 85 gardeners will work to maintain the grounds of the President’s House in Islamabad.
