According to the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment, in 2024, more than 700,000 Pakistanis decided to move abroad in search of better job prospects.
Official records show that 789,837 people left the country to work abroad, a slight drop from 811,469 in 2023 last year.
Abdul Shakoor, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Immigration, pointed out the challenges of obtaining visas for Saudi Arabia, saying that the UAE issues visas for skilled professionals.
Additionally, there is a growing demand for skilled workers in the United States and Europe, creating opportunities for professionals seeking employment abroad.
