New petrol prices are expected to increase massively from July 1 in Pakistan.
Reports say that the federal government will increase the price of petrol by Rs 7.54 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs 9.84 per liter in the first 15 days of July.
If the government increases the petroleum levy by Rs 5 per liter from July 1, the price of petrol is likely to increase by Rs 12 54 paise and the price of diesel by Rs 14 84 paise per liter.
It should be remembered that the government has decided to increase the petroleum levy from Rs 60 to Rs 80. It will increase the levy in different phases.
Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan
Earlier this month, the government reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for consumers by Rs 10.20 and Rs 2.33 respectively.
After the revision, currently, the price of petrol is Rs 258.16 and high-speed diesel is Rs 267.89 per liter.
Latest petrol price in Pakistan from 1st July
If the petroleum levy is not increased by Rs 5 per liter, the new price of petrol in Pakistan will be Rs 265.7 and diesel price will be Rs 277.73 per liter from July 1.
If the petroleum levy is increased, the new price of petrol will be Rs 270.7 per liter and the price of diesel will be Rs 282.73 per liter.
